My name is Twana Smith. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. A single mother of 3 children ages 29 (son, Micah) 27 (daughter, Chellsi) and 17 daughter, Nailah). I graduated from Wichita Southeast class of 1991. I received a Bachelor’s of Art, Sociology from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas in 2010 and a Master’s of science Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2013.

I have worked for serval non-profit agencies over the years: Youthville 2001-2013 Aftercare in home specialist working with reintegrated families to keep them together. I have also been employed with Ketch as a residential manager, supervising several staff that worked with adults with mental and physical disabilities. i have been a Targeted case manager at Starkey Inc, for children with mental and physical disabilities. I am currently employed at a for profit agency Hearts of Love LLC. I am the assistant director of residential services.

I bring a variety of experience to this board of directors such as connections in the community with agencies that provide services to those in need such as therapist, medial services, mental health services, as well as navigating through the intellectual Disability services. I look forward to providing knowledgeable information to assist youth in need.
